Cherry Aachar
Ingredients
- Fresh cherries – 500g (pitted)
- Salt – 2 tsp
- Red chili powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
- Oil – 50 ml
- Vinegar – 1–2 tbsp (optional, for longer shelf life)
Recipe / How to Make
Wash and pit the cherries. Dry them in sunlight for 2–3 hours. Mix with salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and mustard seeds. Heat oil until hot and pour over the cherry mixture. Stir well and store in a clean glass jar. Let it sit for 1–2 days before consuming to develop flavor.
