Apple Aachar
Ingredients
- Apples – 500g (firm, slightly sour)
- Salt – 2 tsp
- Red chili powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
- Oil – 50 ml
- Vinegar – 2 tbsp (optional, for preservation)
Recipe / How to Make
Wash and cut apples into small cubes. Dry them in sunlight for 2-3 hours. Mix with salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and mustard seeds. Heat oil, pour over the apples, and mix well. Optionally, add vinegar for longer shelf life. Store in a clean glass jar and let it sit for 2 days before consuming.
