Cabbage Aachar
Ingredients
- Cabbage – 500g (finely chopped)
- Salt – 2 tsp
- Red chili powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
- Oil – 50 ml
- Vinegar – 1–2 tbsp (optional, for preservation)
Recipe / How to Make
Wash and finely chop the cabbage. Dry it in sunlight for 2 hours. Mix with salt, red chili powder, turmeric, and mustard seeds. Heat oil until it is hot and pour over the cabbage mixture. Stir well and store in a clean glass jar. Let it sit for 1–2 days before consuming to allow flavors to develop.
